If anyone has found themselves in the same situation – i.e. having to deal with worn-off paintwork (esp. round the faders), they may have had trouble finding a suitable colour match. Well, I’ve just discovered what appears to be the closest yet: Audi Dakota Grey in a Hycote spray can from the local accessory shop. (I’ve applied the second coat which is drying right now; what it’ll look like with the lacquer on remains to be seen.)
So, in the spirit of information-sharing I thought I’d put this out there. I might eventually put up some before-and-after pics too.
