I’m looking for some info on the mic and can’t find anything. What was the build spec like on there. Also Ted, whats the ETA of you’r new vocal channel?.

The old TB47 was originally an electronic copy of the Telefunken M251…. Many years ago I owned two M251s but they got sold on when they were still a reasonable price!

The TB47 capsule was one of the better Chinese copies, a centre electrode type and the sound from the mic was silky in the extreme. It’s a really chunky microphone with a sturdy power supply with its variable pattern switch.

I still have a TB47 and use it as my favourite vocal mic (into a TDC of course!)

Talking of the TDC, it is taking some time to get the manufacturing of the new ‘voice channel’ organised, but the development is complete and it is ready to go.

Please have a little more patience and I will announce it as soon as I have some stock. :)

Hello Ted, nice to meet you, I’m happy owner of VC1 SC2 and VC6 :-) and my old TB47 needs to replace the tube, unfortunately I’ve lost the original manual, then may I ask some infos about that mic? What tube? Alternatives? Thanks for all infos in advance.
