    Hi,
Could I please have a schematic for an 828?
I need to source and replace a few gain antilog pot’s – any ideas/prices?
Any idea of the value of these today?
    Thanks

I can certainly let you have the schematics for the 828, but I only have details of the series 2 version…. but that’s likely to be the one you have.
As for pots, these were ‘Omeg’ pots and I don’t use them or hold any stocks any more, but you might find them in RS or Farnell.
I will email you the circuits and layouts. :)

    Hi!

I’m from Hungary and speak very little English. Sorry.

I have a Alice 828 (MHF 24-1-83, SN: 777-2357), but unfortunately it does not work. Maybe any IC (HAI-4741-5) broke. An alternative would like to ask us for this IC is unknown. As can be replaced?
It would be nice to have a schematic, to see the connections as.

    Best Regards

    Thomas

Hi Thomas, the IC you talk about is the Harris 4741 and it is probably difficult to source now. It is simply a quad version of the 741 and has the same connections as the TL074, and you could probably replace it directly with the TL074.
I will email separately with the circuit diagrams. :)

    Hi!

Again here. I swapped each IC. Only the 4016 has not been replaced. Now it works, but …
Normal mode, only the right side reads, PFL mode, only the left side. Maybe the 4016? I don’t know.

    Kind regards

    Thomas

Yes, that sounds very much like a fault in the 4016…. this is used as the change-over switch in the PFL circuit, so that would be it. 😥
But you are getting there! :)

    Thanks Ted!

Exchanged and I’ll tell you the results! This is a very good desk, I like! It would be nice to work with him again :-)
