    Hi Ted,

    I recently bought to a guy this really nice sounding little console :

    I’ve kind of renewed the power supply and changed all the chimic caps, no more hum!

    There is an output limiter, it was out of service, so I’ve changed the 2N5163 fet with a new J111, and the two BC109 NPNs with two new BC547, it now works but it’s like it doesnt work as it should do, often distorting sound, crispy..

    I ve made a schematic, maybe you have some advice for me?

    Thanks for the circuit diagram….. but it’s a bit of a mystery! I don’t remember ever fitting a FET based compressor in the AD62. I will email you a circuit of the later 828 which has a compressor/limiter and this would have been a development from the AD62……

    I do remember that the BC109C was the preferred transistor for the compression element, it worked better than others. :)
