      hey ted…
      sorry to bug you with joemeek questions…
      especially since you are currently making such great looking gear…
      i just bought a used VC3.
      i had always thought it had a transformer in it, but when i opened it up to check, there was none…
      the version is 1.07, oct 96.
      was there a revision that added a transformer?
      can you give the most basic breakdown of what the different revisions consisted of (major changes)…

        No, the VC3 never had a transformer…. it was always a solid state input, using the regular SSM mic input chip. The very early ones had a harmonic enhancer and the later ones had the EQ instead. I’m afraid I don’t have a record of when we changed the models.
