    hey ted…
sorry to bug you with joemeek questions…
especially since you are currently making such great looking gear…
    i just bought a used VC3.
i had always thought it had a transformer in it, but when i opened it up to check, there was none…
the version is 1.07, oct 96.
was there a revision that added a transformer?
can you give the most basic breakdown of what the different revisions consisted of (major changes)…
    thanks!

No, the VC3 never had a transformer…. it was always a solid state input, using the regular SSM mic input chip. The very early ones had a harmonic enhancer and the later ones had the EQ instead. I’m afraid I don’t have a record of when we changed the models.
