The theory behind the technology is based on M and S, that is ‘middle and side’. in recording a superb way of achieving a well defined stereo image is to use M and S. Reversing the procedure is certainly not simple…. it has taken over 5 years to get it to a standard where it is significantly superior to a decent pair of loudspeakers! But that moment has arrived and I’m confident that once engineers get used to the novel idea of the monitor loudspeaker sitting under their screen, then everyone will be using them!
