    Hi Ted,

I have a Joe Meek MQ1 and am planning to rehouse it as a standalone unit as too much interference is ocurring with it mounted in my computer. Do you have a schematic for the MQ1 that I could have a look at please?

I will send what I have to your email address.

The MQ1 worked OK in some large format PCs, but the danger was always one of interference from the switching power supplies in the computer. 😥

Wow thanks Ted. Such a great sounding compressor deserves treating to a quality supply of power. The thing sounds so juicy I can’t wait to start using it on my tracks :D . This is a great forum too. I have been enjoying reading some of the threads since I joined and have been often enlightened. Thanks again.

After a lot of faffing I managed to get the MQ1 working standalone…I snipped the barrell off a 15V 1A psu and wired that into a regulator circuit that I bought as a kit online for pence…out of that the + – feeding into the relative molex rails on the back of the MQ1

It is way quieter and is really cool piece of kit.

Now to work on some kind of chassis/housing
